Popular local eatery Rocco’s Tacos appears to be intent on creating an empire.
Shortly after opening its Fort Lauderdale location, the West Palm Beach-based Mexican-style eatery has announced plans to open a fourth location in Palm Beach Gardens.
Owner Rocco Mangel confirmed Friday that he and his partners will open a store in June in PGA Commons, in the space vacated by Ouzo Blue last May.
Mangel said he is not as familiar with the demographics of consumers in Palm Beach Gardens as he is with locations further south, but that the opportunity for the space was too good to pass up.
“The owner of the complex is the brother-in-law of a friend of mine,” Mangel said. “He made it very easy for us.”
He said that he’s getting more and more excited about the new location every day, especially as he gets feedback from customers in north county.
And he hinted that he’s looking for a fifth location to expand the Rocco’s Tacos empire even further.
